Does any body know any good materials to sound proof a room for a rap booth that i could buy or get cheaply i already thought of styrofoam scraps but i dont know where i could get them any information will be helpful
the cardboard cones eggs come packed into... its great seriously im glad to see somebody approved such a great thread... props moderation team!
yeah egg cartons is probably the best cheapest thing plus you can throw the eggs at piggy cars if you really want to or you could just eat them
yeh idk about this thread.....but, i guess, heres a tip: look it up on the net, like on google or something if you got money in the bank im sure someone sells stuff just for soundproofing....and if you dont i bet someone somewhere has put up something about cheaply doin it
Nah, Egg boxes don't work.... Just get loads of bed sheets etc all over the walls.. Or you could purchase some proper sound proofing/ room acoustic foam/ material...
some rooms jsut have naturally good acoustics, you shoudl check that out first...if youre gunna make a sound booth you could always do a stand up shower stall with the mic plugged in where the hsower head usually is...or jsut buy some quality sound proofing, its not too expensive and if you want to make decent music youll need to spend some money in the long run
How to soundproof your own rap booth Read very carefully and follow steps with caution. Step 1. Grab a rope. Step 2. Wrap one end around your neck. Step 3. Find an object to tie the rope onto, I prefer a bedpost but you can use whatever you think is strong enough, now tie the other end of your rope around that object. This step is the most important so listen up! Step 4: Jump out the fuckin window.
here i got you man http://www.soundprooffoam.com/soft-sound-studio-pyramid.html http://www.zzounds.com/item--MDOMOBILEPRE http://www.zzounds.com/item--AUTAT2020
your not gonna be able to soundproof shit with egg cartons Read up on some forums such as www.futureproducers.com or www.djforums.com the point of "all that foam stuff" is to get the acoustics in the room as close to a flat response as possible...Not for soundproofing, if you want sound proofing, you are going to have to build thick walls with several different materials....what kinda room you workin with??? Your equipment is gonna play a huge roll too, what ya got?
And you gotta be extremely lucky for that.... So lucky, you've got more chance of being struck by lightning twice.... Also, don't be getting Sound Proofing mixed up with Acoustic Treatment...
