These were lethal. @EBA I really like that MF Doom bit, I even thought of trying to use it. My vote goes to Classic, that looks like a tribute piece.
alphantone gmv, dude your fills always are eye candy, but this one is straight bright beach sunshine ice cream colors, fucking super lit.
I like them all so much it’s hard to pick. But I gotta go with my gut and say classic gmv. I can’t find the F either but the spell out on top makes up for it haha
Posca paint markers for the forcefield and inline, stars, and some dots. The majority of the markers for the fill, outline, background etc, are called “bianyo” alcohol markers. I did a couple mists of spray paint between layers also.
Appreciate it man, I think working for years with just the primary colors helped me to develop a decent approach to color, though every time I’m still trying a new combo or stacking translucent colors to make varying hues. I used to like highlighters a lot too because how hard they pop. another tip I heard recently from a GOAT is that you gotta have your darkest color scattered throughout to give the viewers eyes rest from all the brightness.
@Alephantone is the winner of the "MFONE" Battle, deadline to pick the next word is tuesday or @Classic @EBA picks the word Wednesday
The blackbook I used for the MFONE piece was from KENJI “PYTHON” (TC5 BAD X-MEN) I won it in a battle on Reddit. (I did the “BUGS” piece in there also and it’s my first “real” blackbook haha) Much different vibes here in the forums, but I wanted to thank him by picking the word “KENJI” to rock next. Classic is the one who put me on to these forum battles and I met a lot of cool people on here since then. Let’s keep rockin and give me somethin fresh to show “KENJI.” I don’t like N’s or J’s but I always try rockin letters I suck at to get better. Haha sorry for the book. Let me know if it’s cool.
Thanks man. Really easy style … simple straight letters then a bunch of distracting horizontal extensions!!! Everything except the N is just a straight letter Haven’t sketched in a while, when I do try it’s crap and I quit 3 mins in
I see… you really know how to make the letters dance though, simple straights or not… it got the motion! I have stacks of “scratch books” that look no where near as nice as this, and that I would probly never show and just keep going over them until the page is a complete mess haha. This piece is like you just set out some cardboard and started break dancing on it lol it’s a vibe.
