Better angle here!
IXOYE, Onto the next one.
Detail on the landscape extra fire… I’m a glutton for a postal slap also haha. Nice one!
Sick concept and masterful minimalist simplicity on the execution. Nice one!
You might not see the simple straight letters in there at first, but they are in there.
Sick dude! Aside from the fresh as letters, you’ve inspired me to chunk up the thickness on the outline on my letters, at least around the perimeter.
The x is pronounced with medieval Spanish, and the ER suffix is a French loan, thus it is spoken… ee-sho-yay… this one’s headed a few states over on a trade with XTRA
This was definitely a challenge for me, but managed to pull through.
Challenge schmallenge. That's one of your best IMHO.
Thank you for the kind words!!! It's a hit or miss with these battles sometimes, but thats why I'm here and I practice!
Yeah man I was gonna say same thing as EBA pretty much, haven’t been on this thread too long but it’s one of the best I can remember from you. The letters are all solid and have good balance and a mean swagger on that diagonal lean!
Thanks!! Usually I try to use different styles in my letters, but its going to be a long time before I reach the pro level and see what works best for me. Everyone works at their own pace, and I'm grateful that I had accomplished the basics at least. I usually examine letters from other writers and try to incorporate into my sketches. I'm going into my 5th year when I first started, before joining BS forums, and I feel that's just the tip of the iceberg.
In my experience, the moment you feel like you have "made it," you will see you have not made it. The truth they never teach you in any art school that I know of is that you are never finished learning and growing.
As an art school dropout I can verify this is true haha. And your sentiment echoes the popular adage: always student, never master! I always like to think I’m only as good as my last piece, and sometimes they aren’t good, so it’s back to the drawing board not gonna make the same mistake again… but in actuality I probably will make the same mistake or another one a thousand more times haha.
