Hey guys, so I've just always gone bare hand or with an old pair of snowboarding gloves but always end up with some paint on my fingers. Was just wondering what everyones imputs were for gloves.. I prefer bare hand but with working 5-6 days a week, I'd rather have clean hands so no ones suspicious...
gloves are such a pain in the ass, if you are gonna use some, don't cheap out, like take one said, stick with something with a bit of thickness to it. but personally, i don't like gloves, you just find they get ruined, rip, etc. just keep your caps clean, watch your drips, and don't get to the point where the cops are checking your hands.
free one's.... just walk in to a hospital like you r visting someone grab a box put it in your jacket n leve lol
i never wear gloves, just dont be a dumb cunt and u wont get paint on ur hands. even if i do get paint on em its easy to wash off
my dads a dentist so i have a butload of latex gloves laying around these and these, these are better because the paint dosent stick my fingers together
Yeah man rock those latex gloves. Tight fit so your glove doesn't go over spray valve. Disposable to... when your out on a hot chase you can toss them and replace them no problem at all. Gotta do what ya gotta do ' -Use em'
I havent used any yet. I like holding the can with no protection, its like having sex without a condom hahaha jk but i bought some that I wiill try out.
Hate gloves..feel it just wrecks things but latex if you really want something to use quick then remove.
I don't use gloves unless i'm mixing ink or paint really. but i've got the blue nitril gloves & those aren't so bad. they've got some powder inside them so your hands don't get so sweaty. but they keep your hands real clean
i used to always use rubber gloves, but got tired of them ripping and whatnot, so i picked up a pair at home depot, durable with good grip. the homie has a pair that are barbed wire resistant. @dkode, you're a dumbass.
whenever i go bombing for a while i take a kitchen glove (one of those yellow ones) and put a rubber band at the bottom to make it a tight fit. i also would put the rubber band around the can if im doing a piece so i wont drop the can or make a big mistake.
You need to know what you're toying with I'm concerned that the first google entry for best gloves for graffiti reveal absolutely no useful information relative to the protection of skin when spray painting ! I researched on the subject a little and thought I'd share it here, for all the people who might come upon this page in the future. Spray paint contains irritating (classified Xi) and harmful chemical agents (classified Xn). Most of the harmful chemicals are aromatic hydrocarbons (organic chemistry) like Xylenes, Ethylbenzene, 2-Butoxyethanol, Naphtha for instance. The use of Nitrile gloves is necessary to provide enough protection against aromatic hydrocarbon (aka aromatic solvents). It's about the same price as latex gloves. GOOD No glove provides universal protection against all kinds of chemicals. Any glove wears out after a certain amount of use and time. Material safety data sheet (MSDS) come in handy to know what kinds of chemical components you will be exposed to when using any kind of spray paint. They seem to be easily found on the manufacturers websites. Also mportant for your health (not glove related but worth mentioning) is the use of filter masks. Those are masks that cover the nose and mouth and filter the air you breathe. Note that dust masks only protect against particles. They do not protect against chemicals, gases, or vapors. There are classification codes related to the filters's degree of protection. You want to go for A2 P2. When you are not using the filters, store them sealed in a plastic bag. Chemical cartridges respirators use activated carbon to filter chemicals, which means they continue to filter if exposed to air and eventually become saturated and then have to be changed. respirators are overrated i spray with the worst shit for fumes and never have issues and gloves from your local grocery store will do fine
hardware store gloves are dope as hell if you go on lengthy painting missions, they hold up to the abuse way better than those shitty latex ones. But for bombing quick tags or whatever, I don't know if u wanna be caught with paint covered gloves lol
i never wore gloves or used a respiratopr. i smoke so the respirator woul;d be silly. i should wear gloves but yeah, i dont.
