ugh bro thats cancer for the eyes... not pleasing at all :/ try maybe some straight letters or just start painting shrooms and stuff w/o the words. Cause really man...
Hey Ise, i feel that you are better with ringo. I like you style, but stop adding a bunch of stuff to it. Keep it simple and clean. Good luck!
Did a pen sketch and outlined it with a sharpie. Gotta redo that F and figure a way to make it look better. Gonna do a canvas with the word later I think I'l go with something close to this style
fill is a little weak since my markets are running low... fucked the background too crits appreciated
@BAITS, i think you have too much blank space between the letters, mostly "C" and "R". My favourite are R and S, but i'm not sure about the extension on top of the R. The "E" is kind of ok, but i'm really not feeling the "A", maybe because it's the only lower case you have there @nomadic.carpenter, you have too much stuff going on...clean it up a little. I wouldn't use those extensions for now, I dont think your letters are bad, you just need more practice btw, this is just my opinion, dont take it too serious
Crits please? So I put a little more time and little less ink into this one... thoughts? wish I had a thinner marker for the outline..
@BAITS The E is ok, I personally think most of the extensions on the piece are unnecessary. Any writer that knows what they're doing could see past that and would point out the mistakes. Which by the way make sure you keep your bars consistent in width, for example your A,C, and S are the letters that need the most work. @Nomadic.carpenter, Just focus on what I've told most people to work on in this thread.. Bars haha. And listen to what everyone else has been telling you and you should be on track.
@Loonai that N is cool, the L i feel could be confused with a W but that might just be me. I've been trying out this cleaner style, any thoughts? I'm not sold on the S yet. View attachment 145192 crits appreciated
I'm just gonna say: don't even worry about style. Dial back and go a little more basic for a while. The good kind of style is what comes naturally to art. It's not a condiment to slather over it.
