For can control: Practice. I dont paint because Im not ready for it yet, but when Ive practiced, I draw something out with a pencil, and try to go over it with the paint. Take your time.
Cap life depends on the cap itself, the paint and pressure. I've blow caps a few times and made some uber fats out of them and some I've been using for 4-5(?) bombs.
word, beiges on sabo last for like a peice fill and 3d, and then a grey on sabo lasts for an outline lol as for can control, go grab some random crap cans, and head under a bridge. just kill like 5 cans, and make as many straight lines as you can. itll help if youve already got the can control down before you start peicin'
For can control, use the crappy walmart cans, they will teach you how to get things done with the worst cans. Once you can move from walmart cans to rusto everything will (or should) look clean and you'll notice how easy the can is to use.
pretty sure the other guy is right. a spider is just a can by montana that comes with two diff pressures inside, low and hard.
I thought I would post this for all of the painters touch/american accents lovers. I found this on another website and thought I would give it a try. Sorry about the picture quality. First, you need to poke a small hole in the cap with a thumbtack. Then, you will need to use a razor to slowly make the hole wider. (I couldn, find one so I used a small nail. Once I put the nail through the hole to make it bigger, I put another nail through which was a bit fatter. Do this until the cap can fit.) Then, you will need to put super glue over the original cap and around the edges so paint doesnt go all over. I dont have any super glue so I used electrical tape. Shake that can and give it a try. The skinny line is the stock cap for American accents and the fat cap is an ny fat. Enjoy.
Definitely a toy question, but I'll ask anyway. I'm used to using NY fats on Krylon cans. But since Krylon switched to female, my NY fats won't work on a rusto can. Will NY's work on American accents (even though they are a rusto brand) or Walmart cans like they would on old Krylon? I've tried a Rusto fat too on rusto cans, and it just isn't the same. It looks really speckly and doesn't give the clean line that a NY on krylon did.
american accents r male cans & ny fats dont work on rusto... they DO work on walmarts. i use rusto fats on rusto an would like to try astro's on rusto, they look way bigger. leaks? sometimes? always? never?
thas def. not worth get paint everywhere ill jus not use ny's.. anybody know where u can nick astro fats off cans somewhere?
Actually that just looks like spray on adhesive, not the elmers with the rusto fats, but more industrial heavy stuff. We used that shit at the tshirt factory, and it'd get dark like that by picking up dust over time.
on rusto..rusto fats for outline and fill all day!! krylon, montana, etc ny fats for outlines on bombs. still rustos for fill..
is it worth orderin some? i use rustofats now, r they that much bigger? yea i nick'em off elmers an some other shit, ive found like red ones an blue off other cans i cant remember tho.
