Can I fill a Grog MetalHead with ink or is it just paint? I got one recently for my birthday and the paint was veerry thick. It basically didn't even move when i turned the marker. It also came with barely any paint inside. Like, a fifth of the container. I was disappointed, but I might give it a second go just to see if I can get it to write better.

Got this little guy in the mail today. Took her out for a test-run and as usual KRiNK always delivers. Gorgeous drips and popping colors. Thanks to the BS crew for feeding my habit.

Ah yeah. I forgot the number now I feel retarded lol. My friend brought one if those yesterday a red one it looked sick as fuck. We have a school dance tonight so we were thinking bout hittin the stage where the curtains are, plus it's dark so they wouldn't see us go back there. I'm probably not gonna tho bc it's at school, and tagging at school is just fuckin stupid.

What's your opinion on the Grog Metalhead? I like it but I had to thin down my paint with alcohol for it to write good

I like GROG, but you right. It's weird. Good on ya for some DIY shit. I heard EARL busts his shit down with reduced motor-oil on a damn stove to thin it out and make it more permanent. I stick to KRiNK because I don't have to do shit to it, but I got mad appreciation for cats like you who take the time to be like "This ain't what I want, how do I fix it?"

I actually just got a black K60 earlier tonight, but I don't have any spots to hit near me bc I live in a little town and my parents would see it. Just got to stick to slappin' stickers at rest stops on road trips for now lol. But yeah, I started in November of 2021, and instantly went to makin my own shit. Sometimes i try to fix things, and end up breaking them/messing them up even more tho lmao. I'll try and post pics of my marker collection tomorrow, maybe with a couple tags in the bg for you seasoned veterans' feedback lol.

Yeah man, I remember the struggle of bombin a small town when I was a kid. However, both my parents are artists while they were confused when I chose aerosol as my medium and my hobby was illegal, they were cautious but still supportive. I remember calling Moms from the train-yard when I was16 or 17 when my car got stuck in the mud and had to get a tow at like 3 in the morning. She came to get me and was like "This is your one." "What?" "You get one bail-out on graffiti. This is it." Haha thanks, Ma.

lmao reminds me of that scene in STYLE WARS where moms is in the kitchen going off on why her little boy is writing his name on damn everything and he's just sitting on the counter rolling his eyes like "IT'S ART, MA." "Boy, your room smell like straight-up Krylon!"

I believe so. There are a thousand graffiti documentaries on YouTube, but Harry Chalfant's "STYLE WARS" was damn important, especially considering the time it came out. If it's not on YouTube, I got a bootleg I can send you. A must-watch for any up and coming writer.

It came out in the 1980's, at the peak of New York graffiti and brought the perspective of artists to the attention of the American public for the first time. A lot of the writers were children when the movie was made and are now certified kings and queens. Plus it has some great quotable lines I like to include with my roll-calls on the rare occasion I piece.

"Call it what you want. A lot of rock, a lot of steel. A dungeon under the city."

And the classic "We gotta get together, bro!" whenever I'm trying to reach out to another writer or squash some beef.

Wow. That's really cool how those writers were so young, and paved their way for future generations of writers. Amazing. What really sucks is that thing that happened in France a while back, where they cleaned all the graffiti off of everything, taking away generations of writing, showing how it evolved, and definitely some dead writers as well. But tha graff community is resilient. We rose up again, and repainted the walls for even newer generations to see and learn from. I know I've been in the scene for not even 6 months, but I feel so much passion already for graffiti, and so much respect for other writers, bc I know I'm a huge toy. For some reason pictures won't work, so I can't send in pictures for help with style or anything. Graff will never stop.
