the world of "nah shut up you stupid faggot, i'm right and i will always be right and you will always be wrong because i know so much more than you and i KNOW for a fact (even though we've never met!) that i've expirienced much more than you ever will!" philosophical theories threads full of biggots and if you think im wrong well, shut up you stupid faggot, i'm right and i will always be right and you will always be wrong because i know so much more than you and i KNOW for a fact (even though we've never met!) that i've expirienced much more than you ever will!
spartans were clearly better...due to the stability in their government even if it was a little odd....I mean a democratic timocratic monarchical oligarchy type government worked well...the best in the history of ancient greece...
probably the most quoted logical paradox in the history of mankind: is the glass of milk half full or half empty? well i figured out an answer: my glass is half milk and half air. now SHUT THE FUCK UP with your philosophy SHIT, and let me finish drinking!!!!!!!!! however, in my chosen profession (engineering) when confronted with this question, according to the laws of civility i can't say that. so, i say this instead: "The answer is obvious: the glass is twice as big as necessary. Can I finish drinking now?"
"People take advantage of life way too much, using every resource more then they need to, spending all their money on new gadgets and expensive toys, while plenty of people in the world work their asses off for nothing, wishing they had more money so they could help people just like them. But then, all of sudden something bad happens and those selfish assholes with money lose everything they have and are put in the same position as those poor people, and then they wonder why they get fucked so hard, it makes porn look like a children's television show... That definately has nothing to do with karma. Nope... Nothin'..."
Violence is always the answer. Don't let anyone ever tell you violence doesn't solve anything, because sometimes you can't deny, violence can get a person their way. What do you think happens when you get arrested? They say "your under arrest" but you don't wanna go, so they force violence upon you and kidnap you, which is somehow justified. But if you fight back and win, you get to keep your freedom. Stealing is good too, because that also gets you what you want. If someone says "no you can't have that" but you can't understand why, just take it, and BAM you got what you wanted. How do you think the US got to what it is today? Back in the day they stole this land from the indians (probably using violence) and now we still have it today. Bill gates, one of the richest men in the world got to where he is today by stealing things and passing them off as his own. Any nerd can tell you that gates probably hasn't ever really made shit, he stole his first OS, or rather bought it for 50 bucks then changed the name and resold it. This is what the american way of life and american government has taught me...Not sure how philosophical it is but whatever. I guess this has already been said before though in much less detail by hunter s thompson: "In a closed society where everybody's guilty, the only crime is getting caught. In a world of thieves, the only final sin is stupidity."
this isn't true at all. even if it were true, criticism of religion has been a part of philosophy for hundreds of years. it's not like its a new thing.
^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^ how can you discuss philosophy like that? Socrates did not criticize religion, plato didn't criticize religion, Freud didn't criticize religion, they criticized high positioning members of religions of taking advantage of certain pious people. Religion in itself is a philosophy! You can't separate the two from each other, dipshit
freud is psychology not philosophy lol, he discussed the psychology behind dreaming and how they are all just sexual desires intrpreted ina wierd way, but not sexual desiers u think of either just unconscious desires... [/rant]
frued's a douche who wanted to fuck his mom and needed to justify it on the real though i had a practice SAT essay wquestion the other day taht got me thinkin alot it said that anything that anyone has ever done was because of discontent. i disagreed at first and then i started thinking and i realized taht it was completely correct. i also believe that any act can be justified if looked at from a different angle. if anyone can prove me wrong on either of those i'd love to get into a debate about it.
anything can be proved somehow, it just depends on how open the person your explaining it to is. Donating money to charities how is that from discontent? i believe any act done for oneself is out of discontent but any unselfish act done for other people is not out of discontent most of the time.
wrong. i find this question extremely moronic because it has a perfectly logical answer. is the glass half full or half empty? well first you must ask yourself how did it come to be in the state of half full half empty. was it being emptied, or being filled. if it was being emptied, it is half empty filled, half filled easy
you donate money to charities becasue you were discontent with poverty existing in the world i didn;t mean that in like a "everyone is a selfish douchebag" way non selfish acts like donating to the poor or helping someone are caused by discontent in the existence of poverty or discontent with seeing someone suffer.
