upstate, i love my 35 mm, would be really fun for all your product shots, but damn, a d90 would be niiiiiiiice

i was just gonna get the 55-200 for 250, but then i found out that i can get that and the 35mm for 260ish lol. i still kinda want a fx camera though lol. I want to get into portraits and stuff. and i do live bands so i need something with a good iso capability. im not sure how good the d90 is. but for 650, fuck i can sell it for more than that if i dont like it edit- i narrowed it down to the d90 or the d300s. i think for the price, the d90 might suit me better as of right now. then in the future, i can always sell it and my d40 for a pro camera if i feel the need for one. looking at the d90, it looks like i shouldn't be limited at all. but damn i want a d700 haha
Your making the right choice. D90 is really good camera. And if ISO is an issue, the answer isn't going out and spending thousands on a new camera. There are heaps of things you can do to get around it. Using off camera flash for example. I wouldn't get a 35mm though you won't enjoy it. You will prefer the 18-105 that comes with the D90.
I usually wouldn't say anything about your work cos it's great, but going so close and wide on the cars makes them warp a bit which doesn't give the shape of the car any jsutice. You should shoot long from a distance !
looking nice. I really just want to comment but i have nothing to say. i'll be neglecting the forum for a while.
yer man! i only had my 10-20mm on the day...my 55mm...well...was kinda left out in the rain last week by accident...but yer didnt even had my tripod with me on the day...so just went all out for some crazy 10mm hand held shots
its only the shitty 18-55mm kit lens...but i think with a quick drying out session it might work again
I hear ya ak, well I probably. Won't be getting the d90 for a while so the 35 mm was gonna be mostly for my d40. And it would probably become my walk around/ show lens for that camera. And the d90 deal I'm getting is just the body. For 139 or whatever, it seems like a good deal for the 35mm.

I ended up going with the 50mm f/1.4D instead of the 85 1.4D cos when I look back on my photo's metadata I mostly used my zoom at 50mm anyway. So like. Yeah. [Broken External Image]:http://www.digigood.com/items/nikon_50mm_1_4d/3.jpg
