most drug stores cvs, rite-aid, eckerd, will develop film for you and it costs about 8 bucks per roll. places like walmart will do it as well as photo stores. anywhere that isnt a chain (photo lab, small business) will probabl charge you 12-15 dollars ( at least in my experience) thats all on the east coast though i cant imagine the west coast is much different.
yooo if i was you id just try to drive to the biggest citys in each state you drive through and ask the locals for the places to eat and tourist spots. also Anthony Bourdains no reservations give good insight to citys youll prb end up driving through.
depending on how long your gonna be in the big cities it might be worth getting a guide book (for ny or la maybe), ittl have places to eat, touristy shit to do, etc etc, we got one for our ireland trip and it really helped out alot.
Nope I'm just not a very level headed person. And I keep having to tell myself in my head 'play the game play the game play the game' I'm struggling to stick to my guns pricing wise. I need to raise my prices and it's damn hard. Will they go with the new price? will they go elsewhere and leave me with nothing? does my fuckign head in.
To be honest, until I saw this video, I was quietly not a huge fan of cartier-bresson, well, it was more that I didn't quite understand him. HE IS FUCKING DOPE.
Update I love the first shot but I'm disgusted at the sky. It seems a bit over-saturated to me. I did everything I could but it was either this or completely blown out. You'd never know it was taken on a completely grey day though... yo monkey, you got any plans to run through illadelph or DC? I'm 30mins from center city philly and 2 hours from dc. There's some good shit in both cities. Ask VAsucks, he knows all about DC metro, lots of good photoops in there. Also, while you're in NYC, ride the subway a bit. Great stuff in there, but just watch out, if it looks like a dangerous stop, it is. The stations are safe, but it can get rough quick once you get on the streets in the wrong place. I would also recommend taking secondary roads whenever you feel like you have spare time. US interstates are very very boring, but there are wonders to be found on the back roads. Might wanna pack up for landscape photography too, there's some awesome sights on the back roads.
It took me like 2 weeks of off-and-on watching to get through the entire Genius of Photography docu, but it was pretty fucking awesome. Well worth it.
