Kaps2, not intermediate yet. sorry. nZane, you've got some swing, but your letters lack structure. I can't make out what those say no finish your regular outline, then paint the second outline slightly thicker than usual, work slow and precise, and then cut back with your regular outline colors to clean everything up and make it sharp looking
Thanks man! First one is MENT as usual, second spells MARION. How can i improve the structure? I focus on same bar width (not on the first one though, was a stupid freestyle nvm), what else is there to get the structure done? I mean im totally able to write standard keyboard letters, tilted or not NP. Dunno how this works damnit!
Sounds like a normal starting artist's problem. Only practice will solve it, and not just "practice" in the sense of doing the same thing over and over. When I say practice I'm referring to actively engaging in your craft and constantly asking yourself what's working and what isn't, and then making changes until things start to look more how you want them. In this stage, it might be a good idea to try drawing from life, just a little bit, because it might be more of a hand-eye thing than you think, but that may be my perception since other forms of visual media are my first art and I'm picking up writing later in my life.
kaps stick to posting in the black book thread. Also, pics>crits in the intermediate thread. nZane you have an interesting style but I dig it. Character is awesome
@Mild: Thanks, nice to hear that from you. (dope colours on the naked!) @Cage: NAKED @Bugs: For my part i think the T is too hidden, but its fresh of course!
dunno if I should post here but I have a question(since this is one of the only active threads). Anyone have any methods they use to motivate themselves to finish and clean up a piece? Ive noticed I always loose interest after the first 7min or so, and no I dont have adhd somer
^try an adderall lmao Honestly it's really hard to see what that says because it is severely slanted, but kinda looks like you should stick to the blackbook thread. That one is probably more active than this Dont really know what to tell you for actual advice on being motivated. Sit down and sketch when you're in the mood, find time to be alone and just have fun. I only sketch when I feel like it and feel excited for it, sometimes ill go weeks or months without sketching because I'm just not feeling it. Now painting, thats another story. And thanks bugs! you as well my man, still rocking
This wall is huge. The Little Prince theme Check the door to the character's left for scale reference! September 2016 with Epsor
ooooh shit, i cant believe the days come that you get a compliment, but that y on the kidny tag is dope. wheres the rest of that prodo?
lol ribcage happens once in a blue moon - comes back, only to give a long time returning member posting a full piece, a compliment on ONE letter. in the TAG. man i swear this is why i check back on here everyday xD what rest, ribbed condom?
the Y is dope tho aint it? confident lookin curly cue. i mean dont get it too twisted mn, your 3d is in slopsville, and that 2nd outline really hurts your piece. did u use a stock cap? double it up or spray a little farther away from the wall next time and cut it back with your outline color if you need to. i dig the homies piece. did he use up all the black and leave you with none?
