Because making a throw with the joined top is a bitch. Trust me, I've tried making one. They're all ugly as shit.
to silence the hecklers may i suggest making the elbow of the four stick out more? because on a normal 4 that is the left most part of one. by making the top and bottom of your four wider than the middle (y), you do bring to question whether its a number or a letter.
i like those 2 bottom throws, that N in the straight letter thing is nice too, maybe consider also trying a upper case N aswell as lower case
they both suck, and don't outline some gay shit writing in highlighter. my advice would be to give up and go to the kitchen, make me some food and bring it to me, right meow.
i think those would look a lot better if you changed your holes. Those little dots don't look good, but thats just my opinion.
