paper doesnt hold up very well though, im tellin ya guys, manilla folders and acetate is where its at. you'll never go back.
yeah i gotta try some acetate. the movie posters hae been working out great for me, cause they're coated and dont get wrecked like cardboard does for me.
whats that plastic sticky shit called .. frisk it or something i'll post up some stencil ideas i had later and i need suggestions i think i have al capone and james bond
i use acetate for the complex stencils, and the intercate parts on simpler ones its really good but heavy paper is ok for one shot stencils
dont have any pictures right now, my comp went in for repairs and everything was removed because the virues had fucked it over majorly, im making a new one right now, ill get a picture of it when im finished, its not a really intercite one, sorry

[Broken External Image]:http://f10.putfile.com/7/18917454255-thumb.jpg ok, i know, this stencil screams toy, but its my first, so i dont give a damn... the ear looks queer, but thats because that little island of white was stranded damn far in a sea of black, i think i might just cut it off.... anyways, i was wondering if anyone had any tips on preparation of stencils, i just printed out my picture from my printer (on normal paper) and then taped it to a peice of cardboard (so i wouldnt cut through to the table) and started to cut that bitch up with a carpet knife (best i could get)... is there a better way to go about it? and then when i sprayed it i just used rocks to hold it down, half-assed, i know... edit: holy fuck, i just realized how shitty his mid-section looks.... pointers, please
You're right. That does scream toy!!!!!!! Make a better image to begin with, print out the paper, use something better than cardboard to cut it out with, and buy an exacto knife, and some spray adhesive! You'll be doin multi layer shit in no time.
yeah, i need to invest in an exacto knife, where can i get one of those, at like a craft store? ac moores or micheals or something?
actually, I don't even use an exacto knife. MAN UP and just buy razors. they're cheap as fuck, you can find 'em anywhere and they come in bunches.
hmm, thats actually a good idea, no doubt theres some of those lying around the house.... and im gonna try to get my picture laminated at work before i start cutting it up this time...
