Sug- you give out too much personal info online. Just saying. Re: drones, you can fly them anywhere so long as it's not restricted airspace. The RR can't do much about it and there are others who use drones to film trains at the yard or on the rails. Having said that, you have to weigh that against pissing off the workers by flying a drone in their face while they work- no one is going to like that and I've heard workers react to one before. And while they can't stop you, if you're being stupid about what you're doing they can still get you harassed, like one of those calls to police about a strange person by the tracks for instance. You guys might want to look up 'Who Is Bozo Texino?'
There are a few cool aspects of that vid and I'll actually end up sharing it with some people from the RR to get the good and the bad from them. However, this vid is an excellent example of what I said above about being a dick. I wouldn't suggest putting your drone, or even your camera, into a worker's face at any spot.
Thats what made me think to post it. Although the operator of the drone probably thought it was cool the train conductor looked pretty annoyed.
I saw an ad recently for designer graffiti markers that are made from some kind of wax thats what made me say that.
