painting is good practice for can control and getting used to a can vs. a pen. plus its alot more fun. but its not really worth it to waste paint on stuff that you can work on by sketching, like letter styles and structure.
the first one was a face that sombody painted and didnt finish so i did it for em. let me know what yal think

still its paint which costs more than paper. just what i do, its whatever. 3rd one down probably looks the best. but it deffinitly needs more work.
ey,if ya got the paint to burn,practice on that board night an day.but yah,maybe put in a little more sketch time.
i dont think you need to be worrying about shading and details. keep it simple and loose the character untill you get better with it.
