Alright guys this wasn’t an easy one to judge. I’ve been going back and forth with about 10 of what I consider are the top entries. I’ve narrowed it down now. I’m staying true to the criteria I layed out, but there are a couple of honorable mentions that had stuff I liked and think would be fun to paint... The honorable mentions are : Elbow Mac’s Viper’s Lower’s Peza’s Tower’s Haid One’s Now for the winners! 1st place: Twone -Twone’s piece has all the right funk with enough clever detail to spice it up. keeping the overall structure fairly simple but giving me enough to look at to hold my attention for a bit longer than the other pieces. That was ultimately the deciding factor for giving this one first. 2nd place: Hampi I had a tough time between this and the first place entry. This piece is nice and consistent. The balance with the layout is great and like suggested it’s simple enough that the structure doesn’t get lost. This one almost looks as if it could be a logo design and I dig that. 3rd place : Dizoe Though this piece is a lot busier than the previous two I like the overall structure in it. It’s still really legible and it has some cool connections and extensions like the N to O swoop and the bottom of the R. This judging thing wasn’t easy. Like I said there was stuff I liked in a lot of the entries. A lot of people really stepped out of the box on this one and I like seeing that. But remember the letters are the most important part of writing graffiti and it’s easy for established writers to see through all the colors and gimmicks. Really nail down the structure before you start to manipulate ideas. Hope everyone had fun, I tried to pick a word that I know I’d struggle with myself so hats off for all the attempts. Stay up -Killa Keep6
