While i thought the zombie survival guide was good i couldnt stand reading it. I just felt that everything that the author was saying would just make it more likely for you to die. But if it did come down to me having to survive a zombie apocalypse i would most likely 1. Search for survivors in my town such as friends, family, teachers, etc. 2. Broadcast on a radio station for any survivors nearby that arent infected, to increase my zombie survival gang. 3. Go through grocery stores or any store at that which is selling food and water prior to the apocalypse. 4. Last but not least I would live in my middle school. I know the place better then my own house, there are limitless places to hide there, from vents leading to different rooms to a cupola at the top of our school. Weapons. I would stock up on weapons such as swords, guns, blunt objects, maybe cars if i ever plan to relocate. When going out maybe to gather supplies or find survivors, I would carry a m1a1, a sword (preferably a katana), and some type of explosive it came down to me being swarmed and possible killed. Just remember if the zombie apocalypse ever does come, we should gather all of bombing science and make one big piece of art.

yes ive read that book a gunshot makes a loud noise so it would attract more zombies shopping malls are terrible places to camp out
i think it all depends on what type of zombies we're dealing with there are many different views on how mobile and intelligent the zombies will be. for example, will the zombies be fast and smart, as in Dawn of the Dead? or will the zombies be slow and stupid, as in Shawn of the Dead? (lol) if they are slow and stupid, a gunshot wouldn't matter. it seems we have different opinions on using shopping malls. if you are stuck in an urban environment, as i assume most of us are, something like a Wal-Mart Supercenter would be really good, once the store and all entrances were secure. Here you would have a vast stockpile of food, perishable and not, as well as tons of supplies and even weapons. The perimeter would be easy to secure by blocking off all entrances/exits, and the roof would be perfect for keeping watch, defense, drinkable rain-water collection, and setting up an SOS message and helipad if any rescue were to come. (edit: zof explained all of this) Ideally, i believe the best plan of action would be to escape to the sea where there are no zombies, and an unlimited supply of food. Hopefully a suitable zombie-free island can be found, which could support a sustainable settlement. The Zombie Apocalypse isn't about guns and shooting zombies. It's about survival.
keep a look out for this devilish fiend [Broken External Image]:http://www.radiorabies.com/wp-content/uploads/2009/07/michael_jackson_zombie.jpg

Sniper Rifle for long range Mines if any wander too close to my fortress Missile launcher lethal injection.
If you are trying to prevent zombification, lethal injection wouldn't be a good option. If the cause is viral, then you'd have to destroy your brain or remove your head.
